Walk-Up Food Distribution

First Presbyterian Church of Hackensack has committed ourselves to addressing the growing issue of food insecurity affecting so many. It has been a blessing to witness the impact already.  The church served over 120 bags of groceries at each distribution with every single one received and appreciated. This is a testament to both the need and the generosity of those who serve. These services will be rendered once a month on the 3rd Friday of each  month starting at 9 am outside our Fellowship Hall on Passaic Street.

We are deeply grateful to our leadership who recognize the need and support this vital effort by partnering with H.O.P.E. for Ex-Offenders, a nonprofit led by our pastor, Carl Phipps, and his wife, Charlette. We also serve another agency in our community: the “Center for Food Action” where our Deacons for many years delivered donations from our congregation; we are truly thankful for their dedication. We have the opportunity to spread our love further from our very own building, and we are truly thankful to be able to provide this form of love from our doors.

Please consider volunteering as many hands make the load easier to carry, especially in preparing the grocery bags on the Thursday prior to distribution.  Through Christ, we can do all things. Let us continue to do our part, serving others as an act of worship.
